Dr. Dan Casaus in Santa Barbara is exceedingly superior to ALL others. Yes, I actually wrote that! I was fortunate enough to find "Dr. C" over twenty years ago. The man is truly amazing! At that time I had a Pomeranian who developed obscure neurological symptoms and had spinal x-rays that stumped multiple specialists. "Dr. C" responsibly and humanely managed my Pom's neurological disease, extending his life at least an extra three active playful pain free years, with a beautiful quality of life, to enjoy his old age. Since my Pomeranian, Dr. C has cared for, guided, and managed the wellness of all of my and my family's pets: an Aussie who humanely passed of Liver Cancer (found by Dr. C) at the ripe old age of 13; another Aussie whose wonderful quality of life was extended for several years due to Dr. C's excellent diagnosis and management of its breed atypical kidney disease, including instructing my elderly parents on how to care for the situation; a Cavalier with Syringomyelia beautifully managed through old age providing a high quality of "Princess" life minimizing episodes and symptoms; and my three other Cavaliers with the typical eventual breed Mitral Valve Disease, all to a happy ripe old age. Dr. C's huge heart, superb intuition, excellent owner communication, incredible skill and knowledge, and his dedication to the adept thorough application of what Veterinary Medicine has to offer across multiple specialties make him a true marvel. I wish he was my doctor! BEST EVER!

Dr. Ina's career expands 45 years and has cared for 4 of my family's dogs during that time. His passion carries over to all of his staff as well. They all go out of their way to make sure the health and well being of our pets are their top priorities.

Dr. Casaus is very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I have known him since 2001 and he has always given my dogs the very best care. He is educated on drugs that are harmful to herding dogs (I have Collies) and is always extremely careful when treating my dogs. He is very good about explaining things and takes his time. Always returns phone calls promptly. He is conservative in his prescribing of medications and vaccinations, which I greatly appreciate for the good health of my pets. It would be great if he wins this contest. He certainly is deserving of the award.

Very knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. He always takes enough time to answer my questions and explain what I do not understand. I have total confidence when I take my dogs to him. They also love the clinic. I started going to Dr. Casaus when I got my first dog in 2001. Except for a few years when I moved out of state, he has always cared for my pets. If he is not available, there is always a competent and caring vet willing to help me. Dr. Casaus is just the best.

I have been a client of APH since 1979. I started with Mike Ina and now his daughter, Jamie, is a vet along side him (Mike's goodness and greatness have rubbed off on her, the second generation at APH). The place is fantastic. The staff is friendly and professional. Jamie (just as her father) is kind, caring, and extremely generous with her time and energy. Her concern for the overall health and well being of the pet and the guardian knows no bounds. During visits and exams Jamie is calm, caring, and understanding. She takes time to answer emails about nonemergency concerns, thus putting worried minds at ease. Jamie is truly a remarkable and dedicated vet who loves her clients (both animal and human) and her life as a vet. /\/\/\ Here's a picture of Julius relaxing on my bed. He's about 7. He was rescued from the streets of San Francisco a few years ago, more than likely abandoned and left to fend for himself. He was scheduled to be executed by AC

Dr. Press always gives the best care to my kitties. He is warm and loving, and never pulls any punches. The first and foremost thing on his mind, is the complete welfare of all the animals that come into Mission Pet Hospital. ... AND he always welcomes you and says goodbye to you with a hug. I have never felt more safe and secure with any other vet in my life of cherishing my pets! Thank you Dr. Press!

I have two Rough Collies and they have had a lot if health issues lately. One is nearly 14 and the other is 8. Dr. Oliver always has time to see them or call me when I am concerned. She treats my dogs as if they were her own. She is very compassionate, caring and competent.
